Get Sticky with Post it Notes

Social researcher Randy Garner found that a personal, hand-written note is one of the most persuasive methods to make your written communication stand out from the sea of hard copy and electronic paperwork that people are inundated with on a daily basis.

In a study to see how many people would fill in a survey, the personalised post it note + cover letter won hands down with a (75%) return rate compared with the handwritten note on the cover letter which dropped right down to (48%) followed by a miserable (36%) return rate for  an impersonal cover letter alone.
